- The picture is taken from the bridge that links Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. Bakung Temple is well known in the past, caused by “Odalan” of the temple on “Purnama Kapat”. There will be a lot of people from mainland attend “Tajen” (cock fighting). Nowadays Tajen is strictly held for ritual only called “Tabuh Rah”.

- Meru
- Meru - A multiroofed pagoda or shrine made of black thatch found only on Bali. Also the symbol of the Buddhist mountain-of-heaven, Mahameru, the axis mundi of the world and abode of the gods. The legend of this sacred mountain, represented on Bali by Gunung Agung, originates in India.

- Noble Cremation in Ubud
- Morning is about 09.00 o’clock, Ubud is cloudy and drizzling. Traffic is not busy but two Fire Brigade Trucks park near by venue. In the meantime two “Bade”, which have 9 stories, will carry the dead body to cemetery and two “Lembu” (black-fat-bull) - used for cremating the dead body in the cemetery. Bade and Lembu are purified by “Mangku” and some women sprinkle holy water.

- Pagerwesi: Iron Fence Against the Evil
- On February 22, 2006, the Balinese Hindus celebrated Pagerwesi, a very special day devoted to our ancestors. During this day, we ask for protection and prosperity.
Pagerwesi is literally translated as ‘iron fence. Pagerwesi is celebrated every 210 days based on the Balinese calendar. The length of the Balinese year differs from the western calendar and is 210 days long. Philosophically, the name ‘iron fence’ refers to the strong barrier against evil.

- Pura Melanting , Pulaki Singaraja
- Pura Melanting is set dramatically in the foothills, and gloriously devoid of tourists. Prayers come from all over Bali on this auspicious day (Kajeng Kliwon Purnama) in order to get blessing on their business.
This temple is designed by architect Ida Bagus Tugur, very spectacular with dragon and paints colorful.
