Located in a strategic area in the centre of the tourism business of
Senggigi, Bayan Cafe renovating their interior. The new design will combine a modern
and spectacular style incorporating the traditional items and nuance.
The cafe are not only renovating the interior, but also almost every section such as the property, facilities and services. To mention a few, they have added cocktails and many other innovative dishes to the seafood menu. The guests may enjoy their meals at the same price rates as before. To enable a merrier ambience, they will be enlarging their seating capacity to as much as 140 seats.
Apart from renovating the design and presenting new menus, Bayan Cafe will also focus on entertainment services. Live music performances at Bayan have always been one of the most attractive daily features. Now, on certain evenings, there will be two or three different acts to entertain guests.
The Millennium event at the Novotel Coralia Lombok was a perfect blend between the traditional and cultural world of Indonesia and the modern and technological world of the new millennium. A full day activity program was organised for the guests, filled with sport activities and cultural discovery.
At 17.00 the guests split into different groups to explore the Southern coast of Lombok and to enjoy a cocktail and traditional entertainment on splendid locations with magnificent views. After this, everyone changed into a uniform offered by the hotel, and the party started.
The dinner was a mix of traditional dishes from all over Indonesia, presented in local food stalls, and culinary international delights. The entertainment consisted of traditional dances, live musical entertainment, a procession organised by the local villagers and fishermen of South Lombok, and a cabaret. After the countdown and champagne, the party continued on the beach, with another band that entertained the guests; until the crack of dawn. The next day started with a delicious brunch buffet.
To celebrate the new millennium, The Oberoi Lombok have been successfully arranged their New Year activities. They presented a Painting Exhibition by Gregory Burns, spent the last 15 years painting his way across Asia. Besides Painting Exhibition, they also arranged an Astronomy Exhibition, learn about stars of the Southern Hemisphere with guest lectures from highly acclaimed Planetarium and Observatory in Jakarta.
The Superb Gala Millennium Dinner was a special night. The end of decade and the beginning of what is to be surely an extraordinary new chapter in our lives. As well as our sumptuous Superb Gala Millennium Dinner, The Oberoi Lombok also offered the alternative menu for that evening. For the climax, they presented the Beach Barbeque Tearn and Chef Made Nadi that night under the stars with the Soft glow of charcoal and candles to light their guests' way into the new millennium.
