To attract tourists to come to Lombok, local government of tourism, art and culture together with the private sectorswere arranging a festival event.

The cultural and touristic event was held for a week since 22 until 23 last June 2000. At that time Bali were arranging Bali TMvei Mart (BTM) which invited many buyers from all over the world. The BTM's participants came to Lombok festival and saw directly the island situation.

After a serious riots last January. Lombok tourists industry people are busy to rebuilt Lombok image as one of the - most important destination in Indonesia. Now Lombok are getting better and back to l normal.. Numbers of tourists if been increase since a couple months ago.
